This site is a set of articles. It does not have accounts, it does not have a login, and it does not ask you for anything. The short version is that it collects very little, and what it does collect is described below.
Analytics. Basic, aggregated information about visits: pages viewed, approximate location at country or city level, referring site, browser and device type. This is used to understand which pages are worth updating. It is not used to identify individual people.
Email. If you write to erin@bestaiboyfriend.app, that email and anything in it is stored in the mailbox until it is dealt with. Nothing else happens to it.
Server logs. The hosting provider keeps standard access logs, which include IP addresses, for security and diagnostic purposes.
There are no accounts, so there is nothing to sign up for and no profile attached to you. Nothing you read here is tied to your identity, and no personal data is sold to anyone, ever.
Analytics may set cookies or use similar storage. Affiliate networks set a cookie when you click through to one of the apps listed here, so the company on the other end can attribute the referral. That cookie is set by them under their own policy, not by this site, and it typically records only that a referral came from here.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Nothing on this site stops working if you do.
You leave this site and land on theirs. From that moment their privacy policy applies, not this one. If you are about to create an account with any AI companion or dating app, reading their policy first is genuinely worth the five minutes, because these are apps you may end up telling a lot to.
The site loads web fonts from a third-party font service, which means that service receives a request from your browser. Analytics and hosting are also provided by third parties. Each of these operates under its own privacy terms.
Aggregated analytics are retained for as long as they are useful for improving the site. Email correspondence is kept until the matter is resolved and then deleted periodically. Server logs are retained according to the hosting provider's standard retention period.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data is held about you, to ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and to object to certain processing. Since this site holds almost nothing, the answer is usually going to be short, but write to erin@bestaiboyfriend.app and it will be answered.
This site is for adults. Several of the apps reviewed here are intended for people aged 18 and over, and the site is not directed at children. No information is knowingly collected from anyone under 18.
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
